Heveningham Build is a building contractor based at Heveningham, near Halesworth, established in 2021 and known until 2026 as Heveningham Build. We build extensions, renovate older houses, work on listed buildings, convert barns and build new homes across east Suffolk.

Builders first.
We are a small building contractor working within about twenty miles of Heveningham. The core trades are our own people; electrics, plumbing and specialist work go to subcontractors we have used for years.

Morphey Building Contractors
The name behind the name.
Heveningham Build is the building company in the Morphey family of firms [history to be confirmed]. The plastering and rendering work continues under the Morphey name; the building work is done as Heveningham Build, named for the river that runs through the villages we work in.
Heveningham Build is part of the Morphey Group. Yes. Repairs, alterations and extensions to listed and period houses, using lime, reclaimed brick, flint and traditional methods where the building needs them, and with the consents in place before work starts.
Do you build with modern methods as well as traditional ones?
Yes. Alongside traditional masonry we can offer engineered extension systems made largely off-site, for jobs where speed and less disruption matter. We recommend one, the other, or a mix, depending on the house.
