Terms
Terms and conditions.
Our full terms are issued with every quotation. The main points are below.
[Summary drawn from the existing Terms & Conditions document in 01 ADMIN & COMPLIANCE. The full PDF can be linked here once the entity name on it is confirmed.]
The contract is the quotation, including its specification, drawings and exclusions, these terms, and any written variation agreed afterwards. Where they conflict, the quotation prevails.
Quotes and estimates. A quote is a fixed price for the stated scope, subject to variations, provisional sums and prime cost items. An estimate is indicative and will be confirmed as a quote before work starts.
Cooling-off. Consumers who agree a contract away from our premises have a fourteen-day cooling-off period. If you ask us to start within it and later cancel, we may charge for costs actually incurred.
Approvals. Planning permission, listed building consent and building regulations approval are the client's responsibility unless the quotation says otherwise; we will not start work that needs consent until it is granted.
Payment is by stage payments set out in the quotation. Variations are agreed in writing with a price before the work is done.
